Autumn on my terrace 2010
Today the Japanese maple may be at it’s peak. I’ll see if there’s more to come tomorrow. This peak would suit me fine. Here I am in New York enjoying nature with the changing seasons. I’m so close to the tree outside my living room that it’s as satisfying as a mountain of trees.
What a beautiful sight. It’s a lot of color for NYC! Here in Texas, the trees are just starting to show color. I have a soft spot for Japenese maples (there are none here in Texas) for my wedding canopy in NY State a Japanese (red) Fire Maple that my father had planted when I was a tot and it had grown large enough to shelter us by my wedding date 18 years ago.
